3D printing

A new company Shapeways is opening up to make small 20cm×25cm×33cm plastic objects based on a 3D modelling or CAD file. They hope to be able to make items upto 91cm×61cmx91cm in the future.

Using a range of different materials and techniques they can produce some quite detailed models.

Materials
Shapeways are focused at providing this technology to the consumers rather than corporations so your order for 3 widgets is just as important to them. This would have been just the thing for my friend’s roller blind spindle which I made from wood for him.
