It would be nice if this clock was operational as the other mechanical clock in London was disassembled when the Swiss Centre was taken down earlier in the year.
If you know of other mechanical clocks in London, I'd be interested to visit them.
Diary and thoughts on setting up and using a small shed as a workshop. Using and improving metalwork tools such as a pillar drill and small lathe. Home foundry work melting aluminium in a flowerpot furnace.

Aren't most analogue clocks mechanical?
Good point, however what I was referring to was the additional figurative or decorative mechanics that are displayed when the clock strikes. The Germans and Swiss call them Glockenspiel clocks, not sure if we have a name for them in the UK.
There used to be one on the front of the Swiss centre in Leicester Square.
A list of clock types (in English) can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clock#Specific_types_of_clocks
According to that link, the closest description is a "trumpeteer musical clock"
The clock on St Dunstan-in-the-West (Fleet Street) has a couple of mechanical figures said to represent Gog and Magog. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Dunstan-in-the-West
