“Brought to you by the Intellectual Property Office “Wallace and Gromit Present a World of Cracking Ideas” is a new website designed to encourage your innovation and creativity skills. Throughout this website you will find lots of tips and activities to inspire to you become innovative along with explanations as to how intellectual property (patents, trade marks, designs and copyright) can help you protect and gain value from your creativity.
To encourage you to become innovators the website will also contain a brand new competition. The competition will open on 28 March 2009; keep an eye on the website for more details of how to enter and the fabulous prizes on offer!
To get you in the mood for the competition you can also enter our “Challenges” – these will be posted on the website monthly and will aim to challenge your innovation and creative skills. Watch this space for more details.
In other news on 28 March 2009 an exciting new exhibition is being launched at the Science Museum, London. Developed in partnership with Aardman Animations, the Science Museum and the Intellectual Property Office the exhibition “Wallace and Gromit Present a World of Cracking Ideas” will feature Oscar® winners Wallace and Gromit. The experience is created to appeal to innovative minds and will feature interactive exhibits from innovations past, present and future.
Visitors will be taken on a tour of 62 West Wallaby, the famous terraced home of Wallace and Gromit and encouraged to interact with the exhibits throughout the journey. Each “room” in the house, from kitchen to garden shed, will accommodate a different aspect of the thinking process and demonstrate how innovators can protect their intellectual property to ensure they gain maximum value from their ideas.
Throughout the exhibition “Ideas Stations” will be located so that innovators can jot down their ideas along with a brand new invention by Wallace and Gromit called the “Thinking Cap”, top secret at the moment but watch this space for further updates!”
