Storm Austin
The timing of the storm was not ideal, it would hit Suffolk before I’d have chance to finish off the cladding. But I did manage to get the majority of the end wall done.

The other walls were covered in tarpaulin. I’d already tied these together at the corners, but I wanted them to be tied down rather than just weighted by bricks. I was looking for screw eyes but all I could find were massive or tiny. So I screwed on some small L brackets and clipped the tarpaulin on using karabiners.

For the expose wall, I ensured there were battens in place as I did not want to loose any of the membrane. And I don’t have enough tarpaulin or clips to get the rest covered.
And my final storm proofing was a bit radical, I screwed the door on. As the weather will be bad, I won’t be working out there anyway. And I can always unscrew if needed.

The predicted forecast is for 40mph winds and torrential rain here. The raised entrance should handle any localised flooding and the other things mentioned here should handle the wind. So I’m hoping these precautions will be sufficient.
Will update the post with any damage after the storm passes.
