Medal inspired by valve technology

It’s that time of year when I make a medal for the Alumni of the Student Television of Imperial College. This year’s theme was “something analogue”
PSTOIC Medal 2022

A last minute medal was needed for the “Bring something STOIC” so I used the milling machine to machine a billet.
Composite Medal

Finding a suitable blue material for the “Something Blue” theme was a bit of a head-scratcher. But some blue glass beads gave me an idea.
Wire Medal

The 2019 theme was “Something Foreign” so I took inspiration from the Pompidou centre in Paris which is famous for it’s external pipe work.
PSTOIC Medal 2018

The theme for 2018 PSTOIC reunion was “Something futuristic”. So I made an Adventure game inspired medal for the winner of the best futuristic something.
Wooden Medal

The 2017 theme was “bring something Freaky” so I made a burnt wooden medal with blood-red detailing. The prize went to Doug with his “Granny Gross Ghosts”
