British car manufacturer Morgan has found a gap in the market for a thoroughly British cyber-truck. Following the rejection of the US’s metal tank of a car due to safety concerns, Morgan believes they have created the perfect car for the British market.

The Morgan Off Roadster is a new venture for the company who typically make cars for travelling on roads. But it still retains some classic Morgan features such as an English Ash chassis and walnut dashboard. Each car will be hand built to order and hence there is expected to be a 86 month waiting list.
In a recent demonstration of the vehicle’s rugged body, the Ellen Reek from the Morgan company hit the car multiple times with a rounders bat and declared “No balls” before being escorted from the stage by security.
The Off Roadster will be powered by a hybrid engine with a 2 litre Rotofugel driving a Perkins Generator to provide electricity for the 4 electric motors designed by Cedric Lynch that Morgan have successfully used in their experimental electric car trials.
The 4 electric motors will provide high torque for all types of demanding terrain such as hills, boulders, riverbeds or even the routes suggested by Apple Maps.
The hybrid drive chain also has the advantage of being powered by a wide range of fuels such as petrol, diesel, paraffin and even low grade oils. Morgan will be joining with another classic British Brand, Harry Ramsdens to provide “Fuel for you and your car”.

Neither Mr Morgan nor Mr Ramsden were available for comment.
